Fall River…

For the months of May and June there is no place that I would rather be fishing than the beautiful spring creek water of Fall River - which is located in the far northeastern corner of Shasta County.

California’s Fall River is a hallowed water and one of the most storied places among fly fishers in the State. You can read more about this place on my “Water” page on this website.

And, those that know how amazing this place is kinda keep quiet about it. This is how how Fall River has remained a sorta tucked away secret from the masses and crowds. The access is limited (mostly private farms and ranches along its banks) you can only (practically) fish from a boat and there are fewer accommodations for anglers than in the past… BUT there are still some ways to book a guide and fish this river.
