Lower Sacramento River…

A lot of exciting things happening in northern California these past few weeks. We have been enjoying some beautiful early summer weather (finally). It has not been too hot (yet) and we have even experienced a few afternoon thundershowers - which always makes for a dynamic and exciting flurry of activity (aquatic bugs love these rain events).

I have been fishing/guiding a lot of varied water lately: the venerable Lower Sac is always a safe bet, Fall River has been outstanding, Pit River for the walk & wade fanatics, and last but not least Shasta and Trinity Lakes for bass! All of these fisheries have been very good and should continue to fish well into Summer Solstice and beyond.

I have only a few June dates still open - get a hold of me ASAP to get a trip booked or to discuss some fly fishing plans.

Open dates for summer 2023 are:

June 22, 23, 26, 30 (I will only be booking 2 of these dates so hurry).

July 10-14, 17, 19-21, 24, 25, 28

August 11, 14-17 (Lower Sac re-opener)
