How well do you know the Trinity River…
The Trinity River in northern CA is home to one of the most productive and prolific steelhead and salmon fisheries in all of California and arguably the west… and I don’t use these superlatives lightly.
It is probably my favorite river here locally and one that I spend many, many days per year fishing, personally, and guiding, professionally. I have hooked steelhead in this river system 10 months out of the year July through April.
My favorite months to fish this river are September - March for steelhead… and July - September for Chinook salmon (as of 2023 salmon season is closed)
